The Lewis Award committee recently announced three finalists for its 2022-2023 Excellence in Teaching Award nominated by schools throughout the Diocese of Raleigh.
The finalists for this year are Barbara Dobner, a Kindergarten teacher at The Franciscan School in Raleigh; Renee Mary Eltz, a middle school math teacher at St. Mary School in Goldsboro; and Kimberly Wheeler, a 5th grade teacher at Cathedral School in Raleigh. The winner will be announced in March.
The Monsignor Gerald L. Lewis Award Endowment was established in 2008 to recognize, promote and encourage excellence in teaching in the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Raleigh.
