In August of 2019, as teachers were just beginning to return to school to prepare their classrooms for the new school year, we suddenly lost our beloved fourth grade teacher Ms. Kaitlyn Lovett. Heartbroken, the staff at Immaculata Catholic School worked through grief and loss, ready to support their students once they received the news.
In this time of terrible sadness, Kaitlyn's family and friends looked for a meaning in her passing, whilst trying to comprehend such a sudden loss. Rallying through their grief, they wanted to honor her memory in a beautiful way. Through an outpouring of financial contributions, spearheaded and championed by her uncle, Rich Barry, the Kaitlyn Lovett Memorial Scholarship Endowment was formed.
The Lovett Endowment provides a scholarship opportunity to an incoming 4th grader at Immaculata Catholic School, who has demonstrated admirable effort and behavior in school, faithfulness, kindness and enthusiasm for Immaculata - just as Kaitlyn did.
Kaitlyn Lovett was a remarkable young lady who brought such an amazing light and spirit to Immaculata Catholic School, and she will be loved and commemorated always, through this Endowment.
Please help us to encourage everyone to continue Kaitlyn's spirit of kindness and to #liveforlovett.
